The Washington Park East Neighborhood Association (WPENA) is the officially registered neighborhood association with the City and County of Denver for residents residing on the east side of Washington Park. The boundaries are from Speer Boulevard/1st Avenue South to I-25 and from Downing Street East to University Boulevard, including Washington and Veterans parks (see boundaries map to the right).
There are approximately 3,200 households within the WPENA boundaries, and membership is conferred on the basis of residing or operating a business within the neighborhood.
The WPENA board works to educate residents and communicate issues that relate to our area of the city. But the success of the WPENA is based on local volunteers and supporters like YOU!
We are always looking for more people to get involved, and listed on this site are details about the organization and neighborhood events. Please feel free to email us with the areas that interest you or general suggestions you may have.
